Please join us for another training in our Continuing Education Units series of workshops: Intro to Equine Assisted Therapy & Psychotherapy. On Wednesday, March 21, 2018, 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at the Ebony Horsewomen Equestrian and Agricultural Center, learn about this emerging field in which horses are used as a partner in emotional growth and learning.
Trainers Renee Bouffard, LCSW, ESMHL, CEIP-MH, TRI and Patricia E. Kelly, B.A., MBA, Horse Specialist, President/CEO, Ebony Horsewomen, Inc., will teach workshop participants how to identify and become aware of the various equine assisted forms of therapy, identify and examine the strengths and weakness of each model, identify and become aware of the apparent effectiveness levels of each model with various identified diagnoses of emotional or mental disorders, introduce new forms of therapeutic certifications and interventions and showcase several forms of equine assisted therapy for clinical application and further educational pursuits.
This is a great workshop for mental health professionals and those looking to earn Continuing Education Units for NASW (3) and for PATH International (3.5).
