THE JUNIOR MOUNTED PATROL IS MADE UP OF YOUNG MEN FROM THE AGES OF 10 YEARS TO 24 YEARS OF AGE. THE UNIT IS CONNECTED TO THE BOY SCOUTS VENTURING PROGRAM AND IS THE ONLY UNIT OF ITS KIND IN THE NORTHEAST REGION AND POSSIBLY IN THE COUNTRY.

The purose of the Junior Mounted Patrol is to encourage the development of young men into positive, contributing citizens of their respective communities through horses and equestrian training. The service of the Patrol Unit is to patrol Keney Park providing residents and visitors with hospitality and information regarding the vast history of the park and to take visual inventory of the condition of the park.
Young men and boys 10 to 24 years of age are eligible for membership into the Unit. The Unit members train every Sunday with their supervisors.
